From The Principal’s Desk

All the performance of human art, at which we look with praise or wonder, are instances of the sheer force of perseverance. It is by this that the quarry becomes a pyramid and that distant countries are united by canals. Such is the case with Thakur Vidya Mandir Junior College of Science, Commerce & Arts.

Timings for Science Section:
Monday to Friday: 8:10 am to 2:30 pm.

Timings for Commerce Section:
Monday to Friday: 7:15 am to 12:30 pm.

CLASSROOM:
The spacious and ventilated class rooms seem to be the perfect destination to gain knowledge. The philosophy and the ideology of the school is personified through the state – of – the – art infrastructure provided by the management. The Management opines that if one teaches a student by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.

LABORATORIES :
The laboratory of each stream is so meticulously designed that it complements the teachers in invoking a desire to know the subject more. All those inquisitiveness and curiosity have its answer in the laboratories.

CANTEEN :
With all above facilities management has also provided a hygienic canteen to the student. Special care is taken to provide nutritious and healthy food to the students. The hygiene and cleanliness of the canteen surpasses all the other food courts.

LIBRARY :
If one proceeds towards the library of the college, one can call it a “Treasure House”. A treasure house filled with riches much more valuable than any precious stones – knowledge, noble thoughts and high ideals. “Never Underestimate The Power of Words; They can Elevate The Sprit”. With this in mind the right kind of books are provided in the library.

SPORTS :

With the prime thought that “A great deal of talent is lost in the world for the want of a little courage”, special qualified coaches for various sports activities are at students service to excel them in their fields & to gain confidence in them. At Thakur Vidya Mandir it has always been emphasized “Winning is not more important than Participating”. So we see a large number of students participating in various athletic and non-athletic activities. The various trophies and medals speak all.

DRAWING :
"Kindling the creativity and imagination is the priority". To tap the aesthetic sense of the student a deliberate effort has been taken to design the Drawing Classroom. It’s here where the artists bloom and realize their potentials as a great painter, Sculptor etc. with qualified and creative staff for the same . The students are able to play with right colours and their imaginations have been kindled. It is here where you find the confluence of calligraphy and chromatics too.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES :

The grandeur of the institute would be incomplete if we forget to mention the “Cultural Activity Room” for the students. Students are trained and taught various dance forms, western, Indian, Folk etc. We have been a “Prodigy” in cultural activities. They have a history of coming out with flying colours, laurels and trophies in this field. The same zeal and dedication is imbibed in students of our college too. A genius creates genius – so is the staff of the cultural activities. The staff itself is the inspiration for the students.

AUDIO-VISUAL ROOM :
It is no less than a Mini-Theater. A centrally air-conditioned A.V. room with the comfortable cushioned chairs provide the teachers and students a platform for their presentations, projects and also for viewing educational CD’s and documentaries.

To sum up Thakur Vidya Mandir’s Junior College of Science, Commerce & Arts is a perfect epitome of the modern,”Gurukul System” where in each student would wish to be a part of and be blessed. So, when a student of Thakur Junior College steps out in this competitive world, he would be an all-rounder; a must in today’s scenario.
